Terms of Service

NextUnicorn.lol is an entertainment and discovery ranking. People nominate technology companies and projects, and support them with paid boosts that add votes to a public score. The ranking is a popularity signal — it is not investment advice, a valuation, an endorsement, or any form of equity, security, or ownership in the companies listed.

You may nominate publicly known companies, projects or products. You must not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights. We can edit or remove any nomination at our discretion, including after boosts have been purchased.

A boost is a one-time digital purchase that immediately adds a fixed number of votes to the candidate you selected. Votes have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and grant no rights beyond their effect on the public ranking.

Each candidate receives a score that combines several signals: the number of unique supporters, the voting power of paid boosts, and recent activity. This makes the leaderboard reflect both breadth of community support and current momentum. Scores are recalculated automatically as new votes and boosts come in.

The exact formula may be adjusted over time to keep the ranking fair and engaging. In all cases, votes obtained from paid boosts count as a single combined input per transaction; they do not represent individual securities, equity, or ownership of any kind.

Unicorn Pro is a monthly subscription. Each paid billing period grants a fixed number of boost credits and a Pro badge. Credits are valid for that billing period only and do not carry over. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled, and cancelling stops future charges while keeping access until the end of the paid period.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown before payment; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Your bank statement may show a descriptor provided by our payment processor rather than "NextUnicorn".

You can nominate and boost without an account. If you later create an account with the same email address, your nominations, boosts and membership are linked to it automatically. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Fraudulent payments, chargeback abuse, automated vote manipulation and impersonation are prohibited. We may revoke votes, suspend accounts and refuse service where we detect abuse.

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.
